Mobile Media Consumption and Behavior

Our goal is to look into how people spend their time on mobile media platforms on a regular basis, the relationship between their media engagement and time perception, and their reactions and actions following media exposure.


Time and Smartphone Use

We conducted research to study how people spend their idle time on their phone, how that relates to their perception of time, and created machine learning models to identify when users are using their phones to pass the time.

Mobile News Consumption

We are studying the way smartphone users access and read news on their devices, and exploring the connection between the timing of news notifications and the behavior of users when they receive them.
